Why is SPACE a multi-layered, constantly changing term in art history and practice? How can we discover it in the 21st century? What are OUR spaces?
Thomas Heidtmann will give insights into his own artistic practice which combines strategies of collaboration and exploration in virtual and physical spaces.
He will share his experiences as a co-founder of Berlin-based Lacuna Lab, an artist-run space, collective and community at the intersection of Arts, Science, and Technology. This will be combined with material and thoughts related to the Space Art Hackathon SPARTH which happens/happened in the beginning of November in Bangalore as an outcome of his bangaloREsidency by Goethe-Institut Max Mueller Bhavan, Bangalore ,India.
SPARTH is a 48-hour Hackathon focusing on the relation between Space and Arts through interdisciplinary work in the scope of Science and Technology. The participants produce pieces, prototypes or articulated processes of art that could be exhibited.
