This #mondayfixgoa 29th July, we have Mr Subhash Chandra, a member of Indian Forest Service, currently posted as Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Government of Goa, speaking to us.

As head of State Forest Department, he is looking after all matters of conservation, development and management of forests and wildlife of the state.

He will be speaking on the Forestry issues in general at global, national and state level and its intrinsic connection to sustainability, mostly Goa centric issues and challenges. He will discuss if the state can be a model for good governance in the Forestry Sector.

Previously, he worked as National Focal Point for United Nations Forum on Forestry (UNFF) and Committee on Forestry (COFO) and Asia Pacific forestry Commission of FAO and was engaged in preparation of International Arrangement on Forests 2015-2030.
